There are many reasons people want to build muscle quickly, there are just as many reasons for people to discover how to build muscle quickly. Many want to gain muscle for new job they are looking to get, perhaps a bouncer, some are looking to bulk up for a sport they are going to be playing, and some just want to improve themselves by getting a more muscular body, perhaps to impress the women.

It doesn't matter your reason one bit for you to build lean muscle, it matter how you do it. Several things come into play that determine whether you will gain muscle or if you will just be wasting your time.

It's your time, the time you workout and the time you arn't working out. Let's clear up one thing, you can spend 3 hours a day in a gym and you won't gain much muscle. It's not how long you spend working out, it's what you do with the time you do.

When you are not working out, it comes down to what you're eating and how much you are sleeping.

When you are working out, whether you are at a gym or working out at home, you want to spend your time efficiently. You don't need to spend hours working out each day to see impressive results quickly. In fact you can build muscle quickly with only 25 minute workouts 3-5 days a week.

Stretching is extremely important for muscle growth and to decrease the risk of injury. Spend about half the time you will be lifting weights stretching before hand.

Drink water throughout your workout to help you stay hydrated.

Do not overwork your muscles, they will not grow. You do not need to be doing a hundred different exercises a day, about 6 focusing on the same muscle group a day is great to build muscle quickly.

When You Are Not Working Out

You do not need to spend a lot of time working out to build muscle quickly, so you will have plenty of time to do your other tasks throughout the day.

Here are a few tips for when you are not working out to insure maximum muscle growth...

Drink plenty of water!

Eat 6 meals a day, each high in protein. (eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours)

Get rid of any empty calories and sugars. No cake, cookies, sodas, etc.

To help you get from one meal to another, chew a piece of gum.

SLEEP! It is very important to get at least 6 hours of sleep, best is 8 hours, for maximum muscle growth. Why? Because, your muscles grow when you are sleeping not when you are working out. When you sleep is when your body repairs itself, repairing and building your muscles.
